  3. Hi dear. I luv Gujju food. Can u post the typical dal recipe which we eat with white rice. I had a gujrati teacher n whenever we went for Sunday tutions, she would feed us first then sit for studies. We loved her rice n dal.

  5. Hi Hetal,
    I am also a Gujarati Jain. Before marriage I had no clue of cooking as I was very job oriented. Now, Im married and check the websites & manage my cooking. After marriage I stay with my hubby in Singapore so I don't have the opportunity to stay with my in-laws who live in India. Paryushan is coming and what worries me is "what variety to cook" with limited access to ingredients.
    I will be happy if you can post (if not many than few) recipes that can be cooked during paryushan.

    I hope you know during paryushan (8days)we jains dont consume roots (carrots, onions, potatoes, garlic, etc) and no green vegetables (like palak, methi, dudhi, french beans etc.)

    I am new to cooking as I stay in Singapore after marriage & in-laws stay in India. I am Gujarati Jain & paryushan is coming soon. Please post some variety of recipes that I can cook during those 8 days.

  13. Hi Hetal Acharya. I am Raza Bhojani From Karachi, Pakistan I am Gujrati. and i am love to eat typical gujrati food but i can't eat because in Pakistan not avilable easy. but my mom make a good gujrati food. but my wife can't make this type of dish. i saw your show on Sony.
